Who We Are
OUR LEADER
Born on December 22, 1980—almost at church—after her mother, Dr. Florence Bailey, went into labor that very Sunday evening. Cookie was born into church, raised around music, and the beauty industry. There is nothing about those three categories she does not know or has not done.
She attended Holy Family High School, graduating salutatorian of her class, then went on to graduate with honors and as Miss Cosmetology. A native of Birmingham, AL, she is a successful business owner of over 18 years (Whitehouse Barber and Style), Pastor and Music Director at Christ Temple Deliverance Church for over 20 years combined, a contract praise and worship leader, and a sought-after speaker.
Her love for music—spanning all genres—comes honestly from her father, Bishop Theo Bailey. She has worked with and received honors from many local artists and aggregations. In her spare time, she surrounds herself with family and friends.
"In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths."

FOUNDERS
The Life & Legacy of a Powerful Man & Woman of God
Bishop Theopolis "Bill" Bailey, Jr. and Dr. Florence W. Bailey
Bishop and Dr. Bailey built a legacy rooted in faith, love, and unwavering commitment to God's people. Bishop Bailey was born on October 2, 1949, in Selma, Alabama, and Dr. Bailey was born on August 17, 1955, in Birmingham, Alabama. Both gave their lives to Christ at an early age, beginning a lifelong journey of service, leadership, and spiritual impact.
Dr. Bailey earned a Doctor of Theology, while Bishop Bailey pursued extensive theological studies that equipped him for powerful ministry. In the late 1970s, they united in marriage, becoming partners in both life and ministry. Together, they raised three daughters—Trenaye Michele, Florence Gwendolyn "Cookie," and Miracle Marshá—and built a family grounded in faith and purpose.
As Founders of Christ Temple Deliverance Church (Templelite Ministries), they expanded their ministry through television, radio, and community outreach. Bishop Bailey was also a trailblazer in the civil rights movement and a respected gospel radio personality, while Dr. Bailey faithfully served as co-pastor, known to many as "Mother Bailey," nurturing generations.
Together, they were devoted to their mission: saving souls, changing lives, and building families.
Bishop Bailey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dr. Florence W. Bailey, and his parents. Their legacy lives on through their daughters, grandchildren Joseph and Caleb, extended family, church family, and the countless lives they touched.
